Welcome and exit msg? what formate to use?

Are there any special reqierments for the welcome and exit messages?

Or are they just simple .txt files with a plain old typed out message?

Or do you have to use encoding like webpage design?

I would realy be upset if you say I have to type a bunch of code.
But more then willing to do so for the use of your wonderfull software.

Well, don't be upset: welcome and exit messages are simple plain old styled text files (.txt).
